Basketball Game Preview: Moriarty Pintos vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils

Moriarty hasn't had much luck against Espanola Valley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Moriarty Pintos will challenge the Espanola Valley Sundevils at 7:00 p.m.

Moriarty lost 69-44 to Los Alamos on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Espanola Valley slipped by Pojoaque Valley 53-52 on Tuesday.

Espanola Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Moriarty, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Moriarty came up short against Espanola Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 63-57. Can Moriarty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
