North County Christian takes loss despite strong efforts from Lynus Mitchell and Kendrick Robinson

Recap: North County Christian vs. St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots

North County Christian struggled with assists on Thursday (the St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. North County Christian fell 61-54 to St. Louis HomeSchool P. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North County Christian in their matchups with St. Louis HomeSchool P: they've now lost three in a row.

North County Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kendrick Robinson, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, and Lynus Mitchell who scored 20 points along with six steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Blake Washington was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds and two blocks.

St. Louis HomeSchool P's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaac Keys led the charge by scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Liam Boyce, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

North County Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for St. Louis HomeSchool P, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

North County Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against SIUE East St. Louis Charter at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (SIUE East St. Louis Charter is ranked 486th in Illinois, while North County Christian is ranked 473rd in Missouri). St. Louis HomeSchool P on the road again on Tuesday and play against Christian School District at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Christian School District comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
