Preview: Carey Blue Devils vs. Mohawk Warriors
The Carey Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Mohawk Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Carey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Carey didn't have too much trouble with Riverdale at home as they won 55-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Carey.
Carey got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rachel Reinhart out in front who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Reinhart has scored at least 25% of Carey's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kynlee Phillips, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Mohawk had to settle for a 42-40 defeat against Arcadia on Saturday.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
Carey was able to grind out a solid victory over Mohawk in their previous matchup back in February, winning 47-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carey since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
