Volleyball Game Preview: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Lufkin Panthers

The Whitehouse Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Lufkin Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehouse will be strutting in after a victory while Lufkin will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Whitehouse got the win against Jacksonville by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-19.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Lufkin's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Texas by a score of 3-2. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-17 in the first set.

Lufkin took Texas into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 15-10.

Whitehouse's win bumped their record up to 26-11. As for Lufkin, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-8.

Whitehouse beat Lufkin 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
