Basketball Recap: Barr-Reeve Comes Up Short

If Barr-Reeve was feeling good fresh off their 70-42 takedown of North Knox last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Barr-Reeve Vikings fell 64-56 to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Pumas on Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Metropolitan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kwame Hawkins, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points. Hawkins is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Landon Petty was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Barr-Reeve's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Barr-Reeve wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-35 defeat against Vincennes Lincoln on the 21st. As for Indianapolis Metropolitan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-54 loss against Clay City on the 21st.
