Benjamin had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Santaluces Chiefs with a sharp 7-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Buccaneers have posted since March 28, 2024.

Thomas Harris looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Johnny Havlicek and Myles Reid did most of the damage at the plate: Havlicek scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Reid scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Reid has posted since back in March of 2024. David Venoff was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Benjamin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santaluces only posted an OBP of .182.

Santaluces dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Benjamin will take on Dr. Joaquin Garcia in a tournament on Friday. As for Santaluces, they will be taking part in a tournament against Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
