Volleyball Recap: Oregon Comes Up Short

Oregon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westosha Central Falcons. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Oregon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Oregon lost, don't look at Alexis Fields. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and one assist.

Oregon's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Westosha Central, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Oregon has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Johnsburg on the 27th. As for Westosha Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Carmel on the 27th.
