Soccer Game Preview: Olympia vs. Bloomington Central Catholic

Olympia is 0-10 against Bloomington Central Catholic since April of 2017 but things could change on Saturday. The Spartans will square off against the Saints at 10:00 a.m. Olympia has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Olympia came up short against Auburn on Thursday, falling 7-1. Olympia were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Bloomington Central Catholic made sure to put some goals up on the board against Urbana University on Wednesday. They never let the Illineks get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Bloomington Central Catholic in their matchups with Urbana University: they've now won nine in a row.

Bloomington Central Catholic's offense was hitting Urbana University from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Logan Shanks led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

This is the second loss in a row for Olympia and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-5-1.
