Volleyball Recap: Cienega Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cienega had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Desert View Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in February.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-10.

Dawson Briggs paced Cienega's offense, picking up seven kills. Briggs got some help from Caiden Mott and his 20 assists. Mott was also a major player on defense: he and Chase Briggs shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Cienega's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Desert View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Cienega will take on Prescott in a tournament on Friday. As for Desert View, they will square off against Buena at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
