Basketball Recap: Cache Comes Up Short

Cache and Plainview squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cache had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 58-44 to the Indians. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 55-53.

Leading Plainview to victory were Abby Chaney and Ally Brown. Chaney shot 58% from the field on her way to 18 points, while Brown posted 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds Brown has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Chloe Coenen, who scored six points.

Cache has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Plainview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-15 record this season.

Cache does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plainview, they have already played their next matchup, a 62-48 loss against Pauls Valley on the 28th.
