Basketball Recap: Atlantic Coast Wins Going Away Against Harvest Community

On Tuesday, the Atlantic Coast Stingrays didn't have too much trouble with the Harvest Community Warriors as they won 65-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stingrays.

Atlantic Coast had a senior duo take command as Da'Juan Thompson went 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals and Ben Ward went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thompson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Fields, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Atlantic Coast was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harvest Community only racked up nine assists.

Despite the loss, Harvest Community still got an impressive performance from Adam Lawson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. The match was Lawson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Justin Parsons, who put up nine points.

Atlantic Coast now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Harvest Community, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Atlantic Coast will venture away from home to square off against Mandarin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Atlantic Coast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.9 points per game this season. As for Harvest Community, they will host Parsons Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
