Recap: Godby Cougars vs. Gadsden County Jaguars
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to post eight more assists than your opponent, a fact the Godby Cougars proved on Monday. They breezed by Gadsden County on the road to the tune of 65-34. With that win, Godby brought their scoring average up to 52.8 points per game.
Godby's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Cornelius, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Cornelius continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Cristina Brown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 8 steals and 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Gadsden County still got an impressive performance from Taliyah Lewis, who scored 5 points.
The victory got Godby back to even at 2-2. As for Gadsden County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
