Port of Los Angeles lost to Los Angeles Leadership Academy back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Port of Los Angeles had just enough and edged out Los Angeles Leadership Academy 3-2.

Port of Los Angeles was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-22, 17-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-9.

Port of Los Angeles' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Coming up, Port of Los Angeles will challenge New West Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Animo De La Hoya on the 24th.
