Football Recap: Marathon Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After losing to Weyauwega-Fremont the last time they met, Marathon decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Red Raiders put the hurt on the Warhawks with a sharp 50-27 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won three contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

Marathon's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Marathon will head out on the road to face off against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they will host Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
