Last Tuesday, Marshall County didn't have too much trouble with Franklin County on the road as they won 73-54. Given Marshall County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Franklin County is ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marshall County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jamahl Gentry, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Jabrae Howard, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Gentry continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Mosley, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Tullahoma had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They managed a 64-58 victory over Giles County.
Marshall County's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Tullahoma, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
