Baseball Recap: Greenwood Comes Up Short

Greenwood was the 8-3 winner over Hillcrest when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Greenwood lost 11-3 to Hillcrest on Friday.

Triston Lewis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

Greenwood's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-5. As for Hillcrest, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Greenwood will head out on the road to face off against Mauldin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillcrest, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against T.L. Hanna at 6:30 p.m. T.L. Hanna will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Hillcrest surely won't give up without a fight.
