Softball Recap: Coxsackie-Athens Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

While Coxsackie-Athens's victory against Maple Hill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Riverhawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Wildcats on Friday. The Riverhawks' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Coxsackie-Athens pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Maple Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
