Basketball Game Preview: Independence Tigers vs. Northlake Christian Wolverines

The Independence Tigers will face off against the Northlake Christian Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Independence is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season.

Independence is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They took a 61-45 bruising from Franklinton.

Despite the loss, Independence saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Haymann Milton posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arrick Adams, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, Northlake Christian hadn't done well against E.D. White recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Northlake Christian had just enough and edged E.D. White out 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolverines have posted since January 2nd.

Northlake Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
