Basketball Recap: West Point-Beemer Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oakland-Craig last Friday, West Point-Beemer came back down to earth. The West Point-Beemer Cadets came up short against the Archbishop Bergan Knights on Friday, falling 83-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the loss, West Point-Beemer still got an impressive performance from Hunter Swanson, who went 8-for-16 en route to 22 points along with six assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave Swanson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Penrose, who posted seven points.

West Point-Beemer's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Archbishop Bergan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

As of now, neither West Point-Beemer nor Archbishop Bergan have any future games scheduled.
