Softball Recap: Belleview Falls Short of Gainesville in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Belleview can now relate to. They fell 5-1 to the Gainesville Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Rattlers' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Belleview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Cobb, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Belleview's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Gainesville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Gainesville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Deltona on the 1st. Hopefully Belleview paid attention to the Hurricanes' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on the 8th.
