Volleyball Recap: Brooke Comes Up Short

Brooke was the 2-0 winner over Preston when they last played one another back in October of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Brooke sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-22.

Brooke's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Preston, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooke will face off against Buckeye Local at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Preston, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge John Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
