The Burlington Christian Academy Royals will head out to face off against the Statesville Christian Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Burlington Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Burlington Christian Academy barely beat Gaston Day the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Burlington Christian Academy's defense stepped up to hand Gaston Day a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. It was an even better day for Ava Cardwell as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Statesville Christian took care of business in their home opener two weeks ago. They came out on top against North Hills Christian by a score of 3-1. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Burlington Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Statesville Christian, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Burlington Christian Academy suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Statesville Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2021. Can Burlington Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
