Basketball Recap: D'Hanis Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact D'Hanis can now relate to. They fell to McMullen County 47-43. D'Hanis was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced McMullen County earlier this season, when they won 35-33.

Brandon Timms continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for McMullen County, putting up 26 points. The match was Timms' ninth in a row with at least 21 points. Joseph Timms was another key player, posting ten points.

D'Hanis' defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for McMullen County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season.

D'Hanis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McMullen County, they will face off against Richards at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richards knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully McMullen County likes a good challenge.
