Softball Recap: Barron Collier Comes Up Short

Barron Collier lost against Evangelical Christian back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars lost 13-4 to the Sentinels. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sheila Forbes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Rascher, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.

Barron Collier's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Evangelical Christian, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barron Collier will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Palmetto Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Evangelical Christian, they will host Aubrey Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
