Football Recap: ALA - Queen Creek Falls to Paradise Honors in First Game of Season

ALA - Queen Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 39-0 defeat at the hands of the Paradise Honors Panthers on Wednesday.

Even if they lost, ALA - Queen Creek's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Addison Cooley and Annie Jones, who racked up four sacks between them.

Paradise Honors found their leader in freshman Aveda Soriano, who threw for 254 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards.

Paradise Honors has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ALA - Queen Creek will take on Bradshaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Paradise Honors, they will square off against Eastmark at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
