Basketball Game Preview: Campion Academy Cougars vs. Denver Jewish Day Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Campion Academy Cougars face off against the Denver Jewish Day Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday... Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Campion Academy will head out to face Denver Jewish Day after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Campion Academy took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dawson School.

Izuchi Nwankwo put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted eight points along with five assists and five blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Marroquin, who scored nine points.

Meanwhile, Denver Jewish Day came up short against Flatirons Academy on Thursday and fell 54-43. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Bison are ranked 105th).

Campion Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Denver Jewish Day, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
