Baseball Recap: Wheelersburg Comes Up Short

Wheelersburg managed to slip by Buckeye Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Wheelersburg came up short against Buckeye Valley on Saturday, falling 8-2. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Wheelersburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Picklesimer, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Wheelersburg now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Buckeye Valley, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheelersburg will square off against South Point at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Buckeye Valley, they will face off against Bishop Watterson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
