It was a good run, but Bridgeport Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the New Canaan Rams, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Hilltoppers were not able to get on the board.

While Bridgeport Central was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into New Canaan's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-22.

Oneil Clarke paced Bridgeport Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Clarke got some help from Kevyn Dias and his 13 assists.

Bridgeport Central's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for New Canaan, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Bridgeport Central will host McMahon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Canaan, they will take on Stamford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
