Baseball Recap: Cobre Comes Up Short

Cobre was the 11-1 winner over Tularosa when they last played one another back in May of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians wound up with the same score they had in their last game (9-8), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Randy James Dominguez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Zayden Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Cobre's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Tularosa, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

While Cobre had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
