You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Flowers's strategy against Bowie on Thursday. The Flowers Jaguars enjoyed a cozy 67-53 victory over the Bowie Bulldogs. The win was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Flowers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Brooks out in front who went 12 for 16 en route to 24 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Israel Johnson, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 19 points and five steals.

Flowers smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Flowers pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Bowie, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flowers will square off against Douglass at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bowie, they will take on Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bowie is facing Northwestern at the right time seeing as Northwestern is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
