Basketball Game Preview: Calvary Christian Academy vs. Grace Academy Knights

Calvary Christian Academy will face off against the Grace Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Calvary Christian Academy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Heritage Academy on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Calvary Christian Academy was outmatched by Heritage Academy and fell 92-50. Calvary Christian Academy hasn't had much luck with Heritage Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, Grace Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell to New Life Christian 35-30.

Calvary Christian Academy will have to contain Carson Feeser as he made an impact in Grace Academy's last game. He posted 19 points. Michael Berry was another key player, putting up two points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Grace Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Grace Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Calvary Christian Academy couldn't quite finish off Grace Academy in their previous meeting back in January and fell 43-40. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Feeser, who went 10 of 23 en route to 25 points along with five boards and four steals.
