Morgan is 8-2 against Covington since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:15 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Morgan has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Covington will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Friday, Morgan had to suffer through a 60-20 loss at the hands of Avalon. The match marked Morgan's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Covington strolled past Blum with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 59-43. The Owls pushed the score to 50-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Covington is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Morgan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Morgan didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Covington when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 61-56 victory. Does Morgan have another victory up their sleeve, or will Covington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
