Recap: Boardman Spartans vs. Lake Blue Streaks
The Boardman Spartans lost against the Lake Blue Streaks back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Boardman took a 68-50 bruising from Lake. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boardman in their matchups with Lake: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Boardman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sarah Bero. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Samantha Duble, who scored 9 points.
Boardman's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Lake, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boardman will challenge Poland Seminary at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake, they will head out on the road to face off against Perry at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Perry is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
