Softball Recap: Fairfield Union Takes a Loss

Fairfield Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 20-8 to the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aces apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Fairfield Union's record is now 4-11. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Fairfield Union will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Athens at 5:00 p.m. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they will head out on the road to face off against Logan Elm at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Braves will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Aces surely won't give up without a fight.
