Springfield is 2-8 against St. Thomas Aquinas since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Springfield Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Springfield is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Springfield scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 67-56 victory over Holden. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Springfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emersyn Neal led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Neal is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Anna Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks.

Meanwhile, St. Thomas Aquinas rang in the new year with a 47-37 victory over Archbishop Hannan two weeks ago.

Springfield is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
