Baseball Recap: Stoutland Takes a Loss

Stoutland might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Hermitage who claimed the real prize. The Tigers fell 9-5 to the Hornets. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Cooper Witt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isaac Hill, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Stoutland's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Hermitage, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Stoutland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hermitage, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Covenant Academy at 5:30 p.m. on June 3.
