Basketball Recap: Mancos Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mancos extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They had to suffer through an 85-38 loss at the hands of the Cedaredge Bruins. If the Bluejays were looking for revenge after losing 74-16 to the Bruins when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Bluejays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James Potts, who posted nine points and three steals. Michael Resner was another key player, putting up nine points.

As for Cedaredge, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Cedaredge to victory were Levi Maxey and Zach Mannon. Maxey scored 20 points, while Mannon had 21 points. Those 20 points gave Maxey a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cruz Alejandre, who earned ten points.

Mancos has already played their next contest, a 58-40 defeat against Sargent on the 13th. As for Cedaredge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-51 loss against Plateau Valley on the 13th.
