Basketball Recap: L'Anse Creuse Comes Up Short

L'Anse Creuse was the 60-43 winner over Roseville when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The L'Anse Creuse Lancers took a blow against the Roseville Panthers on Friday, falling 66-36. The Lancers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Allison Tuladziecki, who posted 15 points and three steals. Tuladziecki is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Schuck, who put up six points and five boards.

Even though they lost, L'Anse Creuse smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

L'Anse Creuse has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Roseville, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

L'Anse Creuse will venture away from home to take on St. Clair at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roseville has already played their next contest (against Fitzgerald), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
