Softball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Takes a Loss

Forsyth Home Educators suffered their biggest loss since May 13, 2024 on Wednesday. They lost 12-6 to the Ledford Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Ansley Owens was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ella Beaver, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Forsyth Home Educators' loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Ledford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Coming up, Forsyth Home Educators is taking a road trip to square off against Lee Park Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ledford, they will host Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.9, the Grizzlies 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
