Soccer Recap: Akins Takes a Loss

Akins managed to keep up with Westlake until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Eagles came up short against the Chaparrals, falling 6-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Akins couldn't push the score so high this time.

Akins has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-3 record this season. As for Westlake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-1-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Akins and Westlake will both be playing Austin the next time they take the pitch. The Chaparrals will host the Maroons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
