Basketball Recap: Memphis Comes Up Short

Memphis lost against Wellington back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Memphis Cyclones were beaten by the Wellington Skyrockets 62-15. The match marked the Cyclones' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Memphis has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Wellington, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Memphis will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Highland Park at 6:30 p.m. on December 31st. Memphis is facing Highland Park at the right time seeing as Highland Park is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Wellington will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Clarendon at 4:30 p.m. on December 31st.
