Softball Recap: Denison-Schleswig Extends Winning Streak to Three

Denison-Schleswig took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Storm Lake, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Monarchs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Tornadoes on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Monarchs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Denison-Schleswig's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Storm Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Denison-Schleswig will host Creston at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Storm Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cherokee Washington at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
