Soldotna has gone a perfect 10-0 against North Pole recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Stars will be playing at home against the Patriots at 2:00 p.m. Soldotna will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Soldotna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Lathrop, who was ranked sixth at the time (Soldotna was ranked first). The Stars walked away with a 27-14 win over the Malemutes on Friday. The 27-point effort marked the Stars' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 points the game before, North Pole was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell 26-13 to West Valley.

Soldotna will need to focus on slowing down Michael Putnam, one of several North Pole players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 99 receiving yards and one TD. Putnam also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

North Pole didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Elijah Johnson and Putnam.

North Pole now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Soldotna, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything went Soldotna's way against North Pole in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Soldotna made off with a 30-6 win. Do the Stars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
