Volleyball Recap: Martin County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Martin County faced off against Paintsville on Thursday. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Tigers. The Cardinals' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-6.

Paintsville found their leader in freshman Kendall Short, who had 11 digs.

Martin County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Paintsville, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Martin County will take on Magoffin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paintsville, they will welcome Prestonsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
