Basketball Recap: Williston-Elko Takes a Loss

Williston-Elko was the 45-26 winner over Ridge Spring-Monetta when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Williston-Elko Blue Devils received a blow on Friday as they fell 60-41 to the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans. The Blue Devils' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Ridge Spring-Monetta found their leader in sophomore Jaiden Holloway, who went 8-for-15 en route to 21 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most points Holloway has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maury Bing, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points and three blocks.

Williston-Elko now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their victory bumped their record up to 6-17.

As of now, neither Williston-Elko nor Ridge Spring-Monetta have any future games scheduled.
