Sharpsville is 9-1 against Reynolds since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Raiders at 4:15 p.m. Sharpsville will be strutting in after a victory while Reynolds will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Sharpsville turned things around against Wilmington on Thursday. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Greyhounds. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lincoln Breit made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Breit was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Sharpsville let Jared Bissell and Gabe Titus run wild. Bissell went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Titus got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Titus has posted since back in May of 2024. Journey Cornelius also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Sharpsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cranberry Area.

Sharpsville's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Reynolds, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Sharpsville took their win against Reynolds in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-2 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
