After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hot Springs, Socorro was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 54-43 victory over the Hatch Valley Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-47 last Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Hatch Valley still got an impressive performance from Omar Gonzalez, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Demarcus Alaniz was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Socorro's win bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Hatch Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Socorro has already played their next matchup, a 52-37 loss against Hot Springs on the 18th. As for Hatch Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-18 defeat against Cobre on the 14th.
