Basketball Recap: Vina Takes Down Phillips in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Vina had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Phillips Bears 44-30 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Bears back in January, they had to take a 52-46 loss.

Vina's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braxtyn Quinn, who posted eight points and six steals. What's more, Quinn also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Khylee Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Vina's victory bumped their record up to 6-24. As for Phillips, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

As of now, neither Vina nor Phillips have any future games scheduled.
