Purdue Polytechnic has been away from home for four games now, but on Wednesday they'll finally make their return. They will host the International Gryphons at 6:00 p.m. Purdue Polytechnic will be strutting in after a victory while International will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Purdue Polytechnic finally turned things around against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-21.
Meanwhile, International didn't have quite enough to beat Bethesda Christian on Monday and fell 3-2. The Gryphons haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
International took Bethesda Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 23-25, 16-25, 15-12.
Purdue Polytechnic's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for International, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Purdue Polytechnic was able to grind out a solid victory over International when the teams last played back in September of 2023, winning 3-1. Will Purdue Polytechnic repeat their success, or does International have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
