Baseball Game Recap: Le Mars Bulldogs vs. Lincoln Lynx

Le Mars extended their losing streak to 12 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 2-27 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-1 to the Lincoln Lynx, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lynx this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-0 defeat back in June.

As for Lincoln, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-27. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Lincoln's part, Keegan Falknor spent all four innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. Falknor has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jordan Hargrave was incredible, going 3-for-4 with eight RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 18 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Adler, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lincoln beat Le Mars by a score of 9-8 later that day.
